THE LIAONING BALLET OF CHINA
Establishing in 1980, Liaoning Ballet of China has become the world - class and been
worldwide renowned. Since its founding, it has created and performed a large number
of outstanding ballets of ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign. Due to the high
dance skills, expressions of sincere feeling, harmony between the music and dance,
its performances, such as La Fille Mal Gardee, Giselle, Nutcracker, Les Sylphides,
Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Anna Karinina, Pirate Heroes and pas de
deux from La Corsaire, Sleeping Beauty, La Esmeralda,
Raymonda and Chinese folk-styled ballets by self-choreographed, directed and performed,
The Butterfly Lovers, Mongolian Hero-Ga Da Mei Lin, The Peacock, The Moon Reflected
in Two Spring, The Last Emperor and etc. have been highly praised by the ballet authorities
and experts both at home and abroad. Among them, The Moon Reflected in Two Spring
not only has been honored as “The Milestone of Chinese National Ballet” by the dance
field of the world, but also won Gold Medals in some important National Competitions
and been selected as “Ten National Most Outstanding Stage Artworks” by the Ministry
of Culture.
